I haven't written in a while because being back in town is always time spent with my children and digging deeper into the broader parts of Strawberry stitch Co. While I am on the road I still work many issues taking place back at the office, but generally I am naturally more focused on the task on hand. This weekend the Chicago Cubs are in town. The rivalry between these two teams dates back to 1885. Do you know what Jesus said to the Cubs? Don't do anything until I get back! hee hee With Chicago just a few hours up Highway 55 both town's are always rock'in when the other comes to town. This series had all the electricity of past series with both teams battling each other for first place in the NLC division. Just last night the Cards moved .5 game ahead of the Cubs into first place. The game proved to be all it was made up to be. The Cubs tied the game in the ninth inning with a 2 run homer. I bit my nails to the first knuckle. Truly they were bleeding. It wasn't until the bottom of the 11th inning when Skip Schumaker hit a walk off two run homer to secure the Crads win 5-3. That places the Cards 1.5 in first place with the Cubs only 1.5 games back.
