Tuesday, April 1, 2008 Love and Passion

Some who know me will read this and think I only wrote it because it's some sort of April Fools joke, but with all honesty I am attempting to be serious, as serious as I can be on such a foolish day.

Katie tells me "Love is foolish" and this could be one reason why I have such a tough time giving my love. Loving my children, pets, my art are easy, instinctive. Loving a partner has been rough, maybe because I look for the logic and don't allow myself to be foolish.

I write best when I am in love, Digitizing 201 has been a labor of love, but at the same time I have not been able to put it together because I haven't been in love for so many years. I lack the huge internal love I need to write such insightful documents as Digitizing 101 where the words are still valid ten years later.

I'm feeling foolish on this April Fools day. I am only a few weeks from truly devoting myself to Digitizing 201 and in preparation know I have to rid myself of the negative thoughts that can cause words to appear bitter and sharp. I wish for my writings to reflect the true love and passion I feel and live by.

Jason Marz reminds me of my quarky outlook on life, switching easily from serious words to zany humor. "I'm yours" is one of my favorites and so appropriate at this time of my life. The ability to give yourself is the greatest gift anyone can offer.

Favorite lines:

  • I'll be giving it my bestest
  • I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some
  • I won't hesitate no more, no more
  • Open up your plans and damn you're free
  • Look into your heart and you'll find love love love
  • Listen to the music of the moment maybe sing with me
  • It's your God-forsaken right to be loved love loved love love
  • To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
  • Our name is our virtue
  • Our time is short

Thank you for all those who have taught me to love and those who instill passion and push me to the emotional edge required to see life clearly. I am much in your debt.

Jason Marz - I'm Yours

Another cute version

Well you done done me and you bet I felt it
I tried to be chill but you're so hot that I melted
I fell right through the cracks
And now I'm trying to get back
Before the cool done run out
I'll be giving it my bestest
Nothing's going to stop me but divine intervention
I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some

I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait, I'm yours

Well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love
Listen to the music of the moment people dance and sing
We're just one big family
It's your God-forsaken right to be loved love loved love love

So I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

I've been spending way too long checking my tongue in the mirror
And bending over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and laughed
I guess what I'm saying is there ain't no better reason
To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
It's what we aim to do
Our name is our virtue

I won't hesitate no more, no more
It cannot wait I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

Well no no, well open up your mind and see like me
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love
Listen to the music of the moment come and dance with me
I like one big family (2nd time: I like happy family)
It's your God-forsaken right to be loved love love love

I won't hesitate no more
Oh no more no more no more
It's your God-forsaken right to be loved, I'm sure
There's no need to complicate
Our time is short
This is our fate, I'm yours

"Love develops from friendship be it near or far. Love develops from trust. Love develops from caring. Love develops because you are you, open, honest and believable. Love comes softly and makes you happy."

Tom,
cute song! It's one of the ones that won't go out of your head after you've heard them a few times.
As for the whole love thing, it doesn't make sense anyways. Why would you want to fall in love and give someone the knife that she/he's going to cut your heart apart one day?
