In my years of life and love I have come to value friendships’ more than anything. It’s more valuable than money and more fulfilling than passionate love. Friendships come in many different packages, big and small, old and new, same sex and opposite, out of the blue and developed over the years. Friendship can be defined as a term used to denote co-operative and supportive behavior between two or more humans. That’s a pretty simplistic description but I like simple when simple is all that’s required.
The one main ingredient in friendship is trust. Trust is the cement that holds it all together. When a person trust another, they can relax, let their guard down, be themselves and know without a doubt no matter what they do wrong, what they say, how silly they are or what mistake they make, they will be adored, protected, and valued.
I like to have friends. I don’t know if you can have enough people in your life that fulfill the role of friend. When life gets rough I wish for a friend, when life gets lonely I wish for a friend, and when tragedy strikes I wish for a friend. Sometimes you just need a friend to be with, to look at without talking, someone to snuggle up to and know that the world will wait until you return.
I have found when you wish really hard; sometimes your wish comes true. The great surprise in life is when a friend surfaces when you didn't expect it.
